Athletic Sports Club Split presented a new project at the press
conference for which he received funds from the European Union. The
project by the name "Efficient recommended MVPA obtainment for school
children and teenagers" will be coordinated by ASK in cooperation with
partners from Italy, Slovenia and Hungary.
ASK is the first team
that drew resources from European funds, and now have another project
whose value is 406,000 euros. 80 percent of the funds is provided by the
EU.
The idea of the new project is to increase activity in
class physical education. The big problem with obesity of children in
the west is also notable in Croatia. All partners will therefore work
together measuring, testing, and participating in organization of three
training camps for the duration of ten days each, two in Makarska and
one in Hungary, sharing the data obtained during camp training.
As
part of the "Efficient recommended MVPA obtainment for school children
and teenagers" project funds will be allocated for the acquisition of
equipment and software, which will remain a property of ASK, therefore
the club from Split shall directly benefit from the European funds.
